Yes I love the show's original plot, girls treating men just as disposable as they treat us, but I'm more enthralled by Carrie Bradshaw's amazing apartment, and closet of course.
In fact, my favorite scenes always take place in her closet. Remember when an inebriated Carrie and a very drunk Berger fell into the closet while kissing? Or when she couldn't focus on getting dressed because she couldn't find the words to tell Aidan that Miranda was pregnant by Steve?Anyway, if you aren't a Manhattan resident, you probably don't understand how unrealistic having a closet like her's really is. (Unless you're a socialite, obviously.)
Just look at how big it is. She even has a chair in there! I know a few people who live here who have studio apartments smaller than her closet space. There are several shelves for shoes and purses, four different compartments for hanging apparel, plenty of drawers for tees and her unmentionables, and it leads to her loo. What more could a girl ask for?
Fact. When I buy myself an apartment, I'm buying a loft so that I can have a contractor build a plus-size closet just like this one. I actually think this closet is better than the fancy one Big built for Carrie in Sex and The City: The Movie.
But that's just my opinion. What do you think?
